CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS AT UNITY OF THE PALM BEACHES  HAVE L.E.G.S.

(Learning, Evolving, Growing Spirits)

Unity of the Palm Beaches’ thriving Children’s programs take place in our Spiritual Education Center, which is located to the west of the main Sanctuary building. We have a nursery program for infants through age three, and educational programs with age-appropriate curriculum with one group for students ages four through six, one for ages seven through nine, and our Uniteen program for ages ten through thirteen. Students age fourteen through eighteen will join our YOU (Youth Of Unity) group for more in-depth spiritual growth.

We offer children more than just a supportive, welcoming place to experience acceptance and growth. Our loving staff provides a safe, positive, encouraging and fun atmosphere where students can begin or further their individual faith journeys. Role-modeling helps us to reinforce expected behaviors, and activities make the journey of spiritual discovery and growth an enjoyable one! The unique environment we create encourages everyone to feel comfortable asking questions and discussing issues.

We learn ‘Practical Christianity’ as we study the Bible along with the five basic tenants that Unity is built upon:

1. God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
   
2. I am naturally good because God’s Divinity is in me and in everyone.
   
3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think, feel and believe.
   
4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
   
5. I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!

OUR SUNDAY SCHEDULE

• 10:30 – 10:40 am
  Arrivals, sign in and greetings – ‘Coming Together in Spirit’ activities
• 10:40
  Students join together for ‘Circle Time’ with our Opening Statement, prayer, and offertory time
• 10:50
  Students go to their individual age groups
• 10:55 – 11:45
  Lesson for the day with age-appropriate curriculum and activities **
• 11:45 – 11:50
  Cleanup time
• 11:55
  Travel to sanctuary for Children’s Blessing, Prayer for Protection and Peace Song
• ~ Parents meet children in sanctuary

** The fifth Sunday of any month is spent in “Free Time” activity, giving our students a chance for unstructured fellowship and fun. One Sunday each month will focus on meditation activities.

YOUTH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

If you would like to tap into the Fountain of Youth here at Unity of the Palm Beaches, come work with our children! You can volunteer on a schedule that works best for you, from one Sunday a month to every Sunday if you’d like!
